But when the theme is vague you can really take it any direction, and you can't be wrong! Don't over-think it!
Try this... hop in that warm shower and don't think about the theme at all. Think about a topic you've always wanted to write about. Or maybe there is a character in your main story that is a side character that never seems to get enough screentime that you'd love to see how they'd react if they "got the spotlight" for a little while. Drop them into a certain situation/scenerio. If you get an idea of something you would love to write about, I can bet you that then, as you think about it, you'll easily see how a "vague" term like "growth" could somehow apply to some aspect of it. Run with it! Instead of trying to devise something around the theme, work from the other direction!
Voted! Just in time, what a blast to spend the morning reading all the entries. I'm glad I woke up early. And I'm just a tad regretful I didn't find a way to write my own, it was really interesting seeing all the similarities and differences between the stories.
Check out Raerei's Fortress for Builds, Short Stories, and maybe some longer stuff.
I have a crazy idea for this month. (What other idea can an insane lady have? )
This month I also decided not to read other's entries till I write my own.

Oooh! I'm having lots and lots of fun imagining what ideas you might be coming up with!
1st Place goes to "How Not to Get Away" with Murder by @lovesstorms
Congratulations to you all. Each one of the entries were appreciated. They each had some votes. This might be the most evenly distributed vote yet. And thanks again to everyone who submitted screenshots back in March. Without you April's theme wasn't possible. You all are amazing!!
Congratulations to those that places, and as always, thanks to all participants, I always love reading each and every entry for the challenges each month!
Oh my goodness :O thank you so much! This is my first time making it in the top three
Y'all made my little heart happy.
Congratulations to the others as well
Wow! I'm incredibly humbled by this. I appreciate it even more after the hard week at work I've had. It was a hard story, but I really did have a lot of fun writing it and making sure it sounded decently believable. lol Thanks!
As to the other winners, CONGRATULATIONS!!!! What a great lot of stories we had this month! Honestly, I wrote down all the stories on a list with a few words about it to help me choose. It was the hardest month for me yet. We always say that, but as we all continue writing, we all improve and grow. Oooh, idea for this month's story. lolol
